Environmental Impact

This two-volume set was printed on 100% post-consumer waste fiber.

The paper is elemental chlorine free and was manufactured using biogas energy. According to calculations based on research by Environmental Defense and other members of the Paper Task Force, the following environmental resources were saved:

• 101,412 gallons of water
• 19,645 pounds of greenhouse gases
• 141 fully grown trees
• 8,946 pounds of solid waste
• 121 million British thermal units of energy
